In 1977, Dennis Slater founded D&S Homes. Over time D&S Homes became a family affair with Dennis’ sons Duane, Derrick and Troy joining the company. Troy was tasked with land development, Derrick became the on-site foreman for all home and building construction, while oldest son Duane took on the role of new home sales manager, until his passing in June 2017.

Our company has always been focused on the family, from a management point of view, down to the style of homes we build. Simply put, we’ll build homes for your families with the same care, quality and attention to detail that we put into homes built for our families.

In 2007, we decided to branch out to Regina, and developed several subdivisions east of the city which have since sold out – Stone Pointe Estates, Rock Pointe Estates and Mission Pointe Estates. Our most recent development east of Regina is Spruce Creek Estates, which currently has lots for sale.

In 2011, we acquired the Greenbryre Golf & Country Club, and redesigned the course to make room for Saskatoon’s newest luxury housing development, Greenbryre Estates. Phase 1 and 2 of the development have sold out, but we are currently developing Phase 3.

We also expanded to include the Martens Estates development in Martensville. Lots are currently for sale in the newest phase of the development on Salmon Way, Stony Crescent and Rockhill Lane.
